Letter from The Executive Director - Goodland, Kansas Chamber of Commerce
The future site of the third easel
2/15/2000

As an Interstate Highway Community, travelers are a significant contributor to our economy. More than six million people past Goodland, Kansas annually.

The addition of the mammoth Van Gogh easel project with a sunflower exhibition hall and gallery will compliment our travel industry. The project will bring together education, history, and culture with agriculture, tourism and industry.

Goodland is the nucleus of the high plains sunflower production and processing area. Placing the Van Gogh easel featuring one of the artists Sunflower paintings; the only one of its kind in the United States is most appropriate. This project will result in attracting national, regional and international travelers into the community. We have projected 89,000 people will visit the Van Gogh easel and exhibition hall annually.

Cameron's preliminary work for this project and his professionalism has been very impressive. The detailed information he provided has facilitated our arrangements with minimal efforts.

We look forward to joining the six additional countries Cameron has selected in a marketing campaign to encourage international travel for viewing the seven Van Gogh easels.

Sincerely,

Ron Harding
